Scheduled to sail in fall of 2009 this 220.000 tons, mega vessel will be able to accommodate about 5.400 passengers and amazing number of 2.100 crewmembers (more than many other ships have passengers) . This unique project is trusted to Finnish builder Aker Yards, which will continue their 35 years long successful partnership.

I am a RCCL crown and anchor member and have diamond status becuase I have been on so many of their cruises. I curise once or twice a year. I can't wait for this ship. The bigger the better. It is truly amazing that a ship this big will probably feel like you you are on solid grounds. Looking forward to cruising both of the genesis class ships.

This ship probably won't fit in most ports. I see a lot of tender boats rides. And with so much people onboard it may be alot of hassle...

Dave i dont know about everyone else but i bike it to work now. Recycle paper plastic glass and other and just spent fourteen thousand pounds on solar panels. I grow my own veg as well if any of you lot who go on about the enviroment can boast the same as me you are doing well. i just come back off navigator it was great and looking forward to genesis. If you actually look at the stats genesis uses less fuel then planes to fly that amount of people abroad and power the five or six hotels to house them think about that

All im going to say is that this boat looks amazing and is showing how the whole world is moving forward in technology and entertainment...if you think its going to ruin the environment and blah blah blah...then just stick to sail ships and enjoy your tiny little boat!!!

sailed on the Maiden Voyage of Liberty of the Seas in 2007 and have been on 2 other RCCL cruises before. I have never had a better time than I did when I was on those ships. The ship and the worryless attitude is the perfect vacation getaway. I cannot wait for Genesis and I hope to be able to travel on it's Maiden Voyage.

We have sailed 5 times with Royal Caribbean, and once with Celebrity. Our cabins have been superb, the service and food fantastic. I booked a customer on a Freedom class ship and they said the same about service, food and cabin. With the new equipment on board these new ships the environmental impact should be much smaller than the older ships, and I would rather see a sleek cruise ship in the harbor than some of the shanties located in the ports the ships stop at. My wife and I can?t wait to take a cruise on the new Genesis Class Ships.

I have been on 3 RCI trips and NEVER had an issue with any of them. The staff, food and entertainment have always been great. Never seemed over crowded. Maybe I am just lucky or going at the right times of the year... (NOT SPRING BREAK!)

I just finished a cruise last week on Explorer of the Seas. The food on board was absolutely horrible. I can imagine the quality of even more mass produced food...
