Europe, a continent with long history of cultural and artistic achievements. Impressive diversity of landscapes and ambiences inspires imagination.
Today cruise lines offer European cruises in several different ways.
Usually it is divided in three main areas:

The Northern Europe cruise covers mostly Scandinavia and Baltic region. Visiting modern cosmopolitan cities like Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Helsinki provides experience of a centuries long cultural heritage combined with modern urban achievements. Those cities offer a large selection of museums and galleries to be enjoyed. The shore excursions are offered for visiting spectacular fjord landscapes.
The Baltic region also has a plenty to offer to the cruisers. St. Petersburg is a historic city, the former Russian Tzar's capital with a spectacular Hermitage art museum (the second largest in the world). Also the countries like Poland, Estonia are full of historic landmarks like castles and cathedrals, but there are also modern amenities such as restaurants and boutiques.
The Western Europe cruise covers the well known hallmarks such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Lisabon.... Those cruises are perfect for tourists who want to have experience of visiting the most famous European countries. Some of the world famous museums and landmarks are placed here. Relatively close to North America, with good traffic connections and long-lasting hospitality tradition, this region is very attractive for millions of tourists year after year. The attractions range from the tulip fields and Rembrandt's heritage in Holland to the spectacular Scottish landscape; from the English gardens, to the lights of Paris and Spanish corida. The Western Europe has it all.
The Cruises are organized to cover the best of it.
The Mediterranean is an area with ancient history and culture, with spectacular food, poetic beauty and idyllic lifestyle.
It is roughly divided in two main areas:
Western Med, which covers Spain, France and Italy and most cruises depart from Barcelona or Rome.
Eastern Med is the Adriatic Sea, Greece, Turkey and Italy and the cruises usually depart from Athens, Rome or Venice.
All these countries offer countless points of interest which make the vacation unforgettable. Almost every port in the Mediterranean cruise itinerary provides fabulous art and architecture, delicious food and wine and romantic atmosphere.
Moving from the west, Barcelona is a modern cosmopolitan city with famous Las Ramblas, well known walking area and the Picasso museum.
France's Cote D'Azur is the world known riviera with numerous coast cities and beautiful seascapes.
Italy is the central point of interest in the Mediterranean, whether it is about a romantic gondola ride in Venice, visiting the ruins of Pompei or going to the Sistine Chapel to view Michelangelo's incredible fresco ceiling. When in Rome, also make sure to visit the Colloseum and the Trevi fountain. These are just a few of many more attractions that Italy has to offer.
