Despite economic downturn and fuel crysis it seems that the cruise industry hitting new records year after year. Wasnt that long ago when worlds biggest cruise ships is introdouced (Freedom of the Seas), and now it seems that its record is short timed. Originally announced as Project Genesis this 220,000 tonns vessel is being built by Royal Caribbean International is an attempt to give the firm a new edge in the extremely competitive cruise ships market. New monster Oasis of the Seas will bring stuff you’re never seen before. You thought surf ramp, boxing ring and ice skating ring were something… Check this out:

  • Central park in size of footbal pitch with own climate and real trees.
  • ‘Rising Tide’ – the bar that goes up and down trough three decks
  • Aqua Theather huge amphitheater located on the stern with 18 feet deep swimming pool
  • Loft style cabins.
  • The Boardwalk will be something like part of Manhatan buildt on the ship.

Only downside I found so far is that tatoo parlor will not do the real job it will be temprary tatoos  ;)

And another thing:  This vessel will be so huge that exhaust stack will be retractable so that it can pass under some bridges,  how about that ?!

Maide voyage is expected in November next year,  in meantime enjoy some images:
