Officers

Those positions are responsible for general maintenance, docking, operating
drills etc..
Staff positions:
Cruise Director
; Ultimate authority for leisure, entertainment and recreation on board.
Administrative responsibilities as Head of the Cruise Staff & Entertainment
Departments. Requires: Ability to communicate with all level of personnel and
passengers / creative to keep shows and activities in running order.
Assistant Cruise Director; assists the Cruise
Director in his job
Cruise Staff; Provide s fun for the guests during the
cruise such as bingo and pool games.
Chief Housekeeper and Housekeepers; responsible for
all aspects of passengers' staterooms
Cabin Steward; Housekeeping passengers rooms
and providing room service
Activities Coordinator; Organizes and leads
passengers in recreational activities - Ping-Pong, volleyball tournaments,
shuffle board, and golf games, etc.
Fitness Instructor : Lead s passengers in daily
fitness activities ,including morning stretching and walks, body toning,
aerobics and step aerobics classes as well as afternoon jogs.
Diving Instructor; Leads passengers on
diving excursions at ports-of-call and provides introductory diving instruction
in the cruise ship pool. Requirements: Certified NAUI, SSI or PADI Diving
Instructor with experience. CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
DJ: Works only at night, when the disco is open.
Requirements: Has to be communicative and outgoing person who can initiate the
atmosphere. Experience is required.
Water Sports Instructor: Lead and
coordinate scuba diving, snorkeling, jet skiing, windsurfing and other similar
activities. This position requires very experienced instructor who holds
recognized certificates.
Childcare Positions: In charge for all
aspects of children's programs and facilities.
Entertainers; Various positions - like
Musicians, Dancers, Actors, Animators
and many other stage performers depend from one ship to another. To apply for
any of these positions you'll most likely need to prepare some video portfolio
with your performance.
Technical Staff; In charge for stage
sound, light and other technical issues
Computer Staff; In charge for computer
systems and Internet bars on board
Photographer; Takes photos of passengers
during embarkation , tours, various events, dinners and during tours. Develops
and sells photos to passengers: commissions depend on sale.
TV Station Manager; Coordinates onboard
video and satellite programming.
Casino staff; Casino Manager, Dealers, Slot Technicians, Cashiers,
etc. running gambling activities on the ship.
Shop staff;
Shop Manager and Assistants
run gift shops, boutiques and perfumeries on the ship.
Spa and Salon staff; Hairdressers, Salon Managers, Nail Technicians, Beauty and Massage Therapists
Purser's office:
Chief Purser; in charge for operations
like embarkation, handling passengers' complaints and requests, supervising
front desk, auditing all revenue from concessions, supervision of cashless
system, coordination with the company headquarters
Hotel Purser; responsible for passengers' relations
and comfort, taking care of financial transactions, providing information about
ports and tourist attractions, information about ship, handling passengers'
requests and complaints
Crew Purser; running administration of crew office,
being in charge for contracts, personnel files, passports, visas, etc.
Security Officer
; taking care of security issues on the ship
Restaurant :
Restaurant Manager;
in charge for restaurant operations, responsible to the
Hotel Manager
Maitre 'd (Head Waiter); organize passengers sitting
arrangements in the dinning room, matching them according to their
compatibility.
Waiter and Busboy; serving meals
Wine Steward ,Bar Staff; Bar Manager, Assistant, Bartenders of
course running bars operations onboard
Galley staff:
Executive Chef; in charge for the food
quality, plans menus, organizes all food preparation issues, responsible to the
Hotel Manger
Other galley staff; Head Chef, Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, Chef de Partie, Buffet Chef, Commis Chef, Vegetable Chef, Butcher, Baker, Confectioners, Kitchen Assistants, Dishwashers
Catering Staff:
Food Manager, Assistant Food Manager, Buffet Manager
Cleaners, Dry Cleaning, Laundry Staff;
